Flexible Display Production Announced By JDI.

                                            




                                               You may be hearing a lot about flexible displays for past years, but they never come in reality, the only thing you or we see till today is Samsung’s dual curved AMOLED displays In Galaxy S and Note series devices.
                                                JDI (Japan Display Inc.) yesterday come up with the announcement of “FULL ACTIVETM FLEX” which will be manufactured by using the plastic substrate on both sides of the liquid crystal layer, and this will introduce the unique flexible 5.5” Full HD LCD display for modern smartphones.
                                                Japan Display Inc. incorporating low-frequency driving technology with “FULL ACTIVETM FLEX” JDI developed in past. By using this tech, the display will become supportive of not only a normal 60Hz driving scheme but also supports a driving scheme as low as 15Hz. This contributes to a significant decrease of power consumption for mobile devices.                         
                                    JDI is planning to start mass production of displays in 2018. JDI is considering this technology for Smartphones, notebook PCs and automotive application and other various products in a category.
